This week’s read!
Ok, so I’m a bit behind the times I guess, but I just now read this book. Honestly, until I went to grab the image of the cover to throw into this newsletter, I didn’t even know it was made into a movie. Ha! You’ll either think this is a sign of accomplishment or question why you look to me for book recommendations;)
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Admittedly, this sort of book isn’t my thing. But, given her praise as a writer, I felt like it was ridiculously ignorant of me not to read something by Elizabeth Gilbert. I am happy that I did. Her sly humor and downright magical prose set my heart on fire. While it is her personal story, it reads like a movie. (Again, I did not know it had been made into a movie) I said to myself as I read, “this reminds me of the chic flick Under the Tuscan Sun.” Those sort of stories aren’t something I enjoy watching but this book was so brilliantly written, it was well worth my time. A quick, two day read made it worth it. An entire week of reading? Probably not.
I gave it 3 dog ears for readability, worth the time (because it is was quick) and emotional connection. Nothing as far as relevance of topic and teaching. Which after the intense reading of last week’s The War on the West and The Sunflower, I needed a good, mindless break. This was perfect!

EAT Better
Did you know 15mg of ACV (apple cider vinegar for those non-trendy health seekers) diluted in water each morning helps to kick start digestive enzymes and improve gut health. Does it help with weight-loss? Nope, but gut health does so think of it as one spoke on the wheel of your bike.
