Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.
-Rumi
It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the chaos in the world right now. So much division and unrest in every corner of the world; it’s easy to want to ignore it all. That isn’t an option. We have a responsibility to do our part to make the world a better place. But where to start? Change you. You cannot change anything in the world if you don’t change within yourself.
This week on EML Radio
We are all works in progress. Nobody has this thing called life figured out, including you. Giving grace is the act of showing kindness, even someone doesn’t deserve it.
Be Better
Your body is an outward indication of what is going on inside.
When your soul is settled, so is your body. When your spirit is soaring, you can see it in your outward appearance.
MOVE Better
A focus on building muscle will always lead to better overall wellness than trying to lose fat. Yes, always. Plus, it’s mentally much easier to focus on what you have to gain, versus what you have to lose.
I discussed the importance of muscle and muscle centric medicine with Dr. Gabrielle Lyons awhile back. You’ll want to give that episode a listen. Episode #99
“If we care about actually trying to fix the problem, which on one hand is obesity, the other is frailty/sarcopenia, then we have to talk more about muscle.”
-Dr. Gabrielle Lyon
