A new government funded “food pyramid” directs people to Lucky Charms over poached eggs and Almond M&M’s over beef. When I first glanced at the chart, I immediately thought it was a graph of the largest food lobbyists or campaign contributors, which in fact it is. With Frosted Mini Wheats as the third most recommended food, Honey Nut Cheerios and frozen yogurt right behind and candy in mix, we clearly know Kellogg’s is the biggest money, General Mills comes in second and Mar’s Candy gives a hefty sum. This food pyramid is so mind-numbingly insulting and egregious that I’m hoping even the most gullible will realize these people are pure evil. I’m working on a full length piece to help define what in fact food really is, and how humans didn’t need a “food pyramid” until we started producing things that aren’t actually food. Stay tuned. Fatima Cody Stanford, MD, MPH, MPA, MBA, FAAP, FACP, FAHA was assigned by the USDA and Health and Human Services Agency to the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. More proof the number of educational credentials behind a person’s name is inversely related to their actual knowledge in any given subject. She claims, “The number one cause of obesity is genetics. That means if you were born to parents that have obesity, you have a 50-85% likelihood of having the disease yourself even with optimal diet, exercise, sleep management, stress management….” Perhaps Ms. Stanford should spend more time in reality and less time in a classroom.


It clearly has nothing to do with the fact that the government is recommending sugary cereals and candy in the food pyramid.
Aside from the obvious lies, let’s start by clearing up the language we are using to describe obesity. People don’t HAVE obesity, like they have a common cold or a case of the sniffles. Obesity is not a virus lurking in the weeds, just waiting to come out and attack. It is caused by lifestyle related choices. Are genetics, education, economic, and other factors contributors? Of course - but they are not the cause. This isn’t about shaming, it is about helping people fight a very serious battle. What is shameful is doctors and people in positions of authority flat out lying to spare feelings. Telling people they are powerless in their health strips them of all hope. What is worse, we are sending this message to children. “Sorry kid, your parents were overweight, so you are destined to the same lifelong battle, disease, poor quality of life and premature death.” Reprehensible! Healthcare professional spreading hopelessness is unforgivable but sadly, this level of malice and corruption is now tightly woven into every American heath institution.
No matter how unpopular it is to say, I will shout it from the mountain tops - no matter what, you ultimately are in control of your health.
And just as I thought the lies couldn’t get any thicker, we are now being told eggs are a factor in the recent increase of blood clots, strokes and heart attacks.
According to a recent study conducted by The Cleveland Clinic, choline could make the blood more prone to clotting. Choline is sold in over-the-counter dietary supplements and is deemed an essential nutrient that is widely recommended for optimal health. According to Medical News Today, it supports various bodily functions, including cellular growth and metabolism. So while eggs have been around since the beginning of time, and choline has been recommended as a supportive nutrients, we are now being asked to believe it is the cause of the recent spike in clotting issues.
They really do think you are that stupid.
Although antidotal, my husband who is a Radiologist of 20+ years has seen some remarkable changes in blood clots and clotting related issues in the past two years. Maybe everyone suddenly started eating too many eggs.
We are drowning in a sea of lies.
Honesty isn’t as simple as you may believe. We all lie, even though we claim we don’t. We lie to ourselves all the time. We lie to others when we think it serves a valid purpose.
When I stopped drinking, the fundamental anchor for me was to stop lying. Drinking required me to lie to myself and say it wasn’t that bad, and it required me to lie to others to claim I wasn’t doing it. Removing lies from my life allowed me not only freedom from alcohol, but unadulterated freedom in everything.
Here is a poem I wrote during recent travels, as I reflected upon my freedom from self destructive lies.
Calm the voice, the incessant voice so answers they may come. Softly whispers seeping in the still and distant hum. For life is there with all it holds when eyes are closed and clear. When shadows break across the dark leaving back all embraced and all we hold so dear. Quiet now, you infantile, scattered, fleeting being. What you seek is waiting there, longing to be seen.
I’ve worked hard over the past year and a half to break all of my addictions. Exercise, alcohol, reading, iPhone usage - all moderated. Twitter was the last to conquer. I ultimately found success by removing the app from my phone and allowing myself to indulge for only 15 minutes each day while I eat my lunch. It is a goldmine of material but needs to be used with extreme caution. That so-called “town forum” is more like angry mobs screaming in one another’s faces. Hate and saliva spraying the onlookers as well as the victims of the attacks.
But once in awhile Twitter delivers some great laughs and this week did not disappoint. Midweek I opened the homepage to find #rapeymcforehead was trending. Who or what is Rapey McForehead? I was so intrigued. The first few tweets exclaimed excitement that somehow we all know exactly who were talking about when Rapey McForehead is trending. I am clearly not one of the cool kids because I was lost. But, scrolling a little further brought me to images of Matt Gaetz.
Seriously - dying!
The only thing I really know about Matt Gaetz is he is yet another reason I’m happy I changed my voter registration from Republican to Independent. I’m also thankful for that fore, five, six, seven or eight head and the clever minds that show up on Twitter from time to time.
If I could make a one suggestion - change your voter registration if you are unhappy with the way your party is behaving. Stop aligning yourself with a party simply because that’s what you’ve always done. Both Democrats and Republicans need a serious wake up call and you can give them one if you stop supporting them simply because you hate the other side.
Speaking of laughs, I’m playing with the idea of adding a Comics section to The Sunday Snewz. If you have funnies to share, send them over!
The Paul Pelosi story deserves more coverage in this special liars addition, but for now I’ll just leave this here. There are just too many lies to cover in a single issue.

The real tragedy behind the lies being told by our health institutions is that people will stop trusting healthcare professionals. You can’t blame them either. The reality is our healthcare system is broken. It has been captured by big corporations and ideology and it will take a complete collapse for trust to be instilled again. This means chaos for a period of time, but will bring about much needed reform.
What you can do is create a healthy lifestyle. You are not powerless. The so-called food industry is corrupt. They sell you illness and obesity in a box, make massive profits doing so and then turn you over to the so-called healthcare market to turn even more profits. Stop being their customer! Stop eating their shitty food and stop taking their expensive drugs. They don’t care about you. You are a commodity. But guess what? You can remove yourself from their system and it’s as simple as eating real food and moving your body.
