This notion that God is the one in control has been a point of resistance in me at times. Mainly due to the outwardly religious who don’t do much of anything in life, other than sit back and wait for God to solve their problems. Why would God create you and then give you no say in how your life unfolds?
But as I mature in my relationship with God, I recognize how very true it is that He is in control. But not in some omnipotent sense, an external force pushing me around a chess board like a pawn, but rather as a force of good and love that works through me, in union with me, so long as I get out of the way. When I stop putting up road blocks, grabbing the wheel when fear sets in and filling my “self” with things that inhibit God’s work, He takes the lead. When I get out of the way, God leads the way through me.
Jesus take the wheel❤️
I must hve missed someones comment that brought ths subject up. in the last few days I have heard about this subject 4 times. Once on the radio by a sprots commentator, twice from sunday mourning TV preachers. One local and one in Texas I believe. each taking the opposite view. One yes he does and one no he dosen't directly sway our actions. I like Marcia' comment better prayer for guidence, and I like Evies thoughts the best; very comprehensive. Thank You all.
