We are living in a world of niceties that are killing us. In an attempt to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings, we are walking around, lying to everyone. It doesn’t end well.
In our effort to make everyone feel “good” about themselves and boost their self-esteem (ugh I hate that word) we are encouraging people to neglect their health. We are normalizing obesity and dysfunction.
The weight of an average American woman is now 170 lbs., what was the weight of an average American man back in 1960. But oh wait, maybe I’m not allowed to say that because there isn’t a difference between males and females anymore either, right? Huh! Another lie we are accepting as truth in order to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings (temporarily because that lie isn’t going to end well either).
I’m not going to lie to you. Here’s the truth…
Honey Nut Cheerios aren’t heart healthy.
The woman on this box isn’t healthy.
Cereal should NEVER be part of your diet.
Food manufacturers aren’t looking out for your health, they’re looking out for their profits.
170 lbs. for the average woman is unhealthy.
200 lbs. for the average male is unhealthy.
I’m not sorry if that hurts your feelings. The truth just might save your life.
